MAGIC MOMENT

The man who nearly half a century ago, presided over the specifications and construction of the first Qantas 707, is reunited with the very aeroplane at Southend on 6 November 2006. An engineer's engineer, Ron Yates, negotiated with Boeing's best on equal terms and guided Qantas' entry into the jet age. QFM is proud to have Dr Ron Yates as Patron of the 707 Preservation Project.
