N791SA "Empress of Sydney" (call-sign "Empress 322"), formerly VH-EBC, with her nose buried into the Aviation Pacific Electric building at Vancouver International Airport on February 7, 1968. Although newspaper reports state that the starboard main gear was torn off, it is quite evident from this and other photos that this was not the case. Incredibly, the cockpit section remained intact, although the top forward fuselage structure was crumpled. At the time of its demise, N791SA had accumulated 26,712 flight hours.
